I love fall. I know I'm not alone in this, not by a long shot. There is so much to love! The changing leaves, the crisp chill in the air, pumpkin flavored everything...
And what better way to celebrate autumn than with a wedding? It'll come as no surprise that I am also a huge fan of fall weddings. I have seen so many creative and delicious details - everything from mini apple pies on a stick to pumpkin spiced latte bars and floating apple centerpieces!
If you're thinking of planning a fall wedding in Northern Michigan, I have a few words of advice:
Michigan weather is unpredictable, never more so than from September - early December. It's always good to have a rain plan but for fall weddings, it's a necessity. A rainy wedding day can be beautiful and stress free with a great back-up plan.
More likely than not, if you get married up here in the fall, it will be cold. If you plan to take advantage of one of the area's gorgeous outdoor venues, don't forget the heaters! These can be rented for inside and outside of a tent. Many venues also have fire pits on the property so stock up on the firewood.
Take a moment or a day and enjoy our area's natural beauty. Encourage your guests to do the same!
