From Sincerely, Ginger: Claire and Garrett’s August nuptials were a tribute to the beauty of Northern Michigan. Inspired by the natural beauty and flare of the area, local elements were incorporated seamlessly throughout the day to create an atmosphere of simple elegance. The Peninsula Room provided the perfect venue - with East Bay glittering in the background of the wooded outdoor ceremony.
Jennifer Haf at BLOOM Floral Design crafted floral accents in berry tones inspired by the local in-season fruit, even including cherries, blueberries, and blackberries in the centerpieces. Keeping with the theme of fresh, local ingredients, Kate Angove of the Peninsula Room helped design a custom menu of seasonal flavor that included a local cherry pecan salad, filet mignon, chicken with morel mushrooms, and Grand Traverse Pie Company pies, a Traverse City favorite!
The northern night sky was the inspiration for the reception, enhanced by Holly Thomas Design's starry paper suite. The patio was lit by soft bistro lights and live music played in the background. These elements helped create a relaxed, enjoyable event, a memorable night of dancing and laughing under the stars with friends and family.
Northern Michigan is a one of a kind wedding destination with inspiration around every corner. Claire and Garrett’s wedding is a perfect example of how to seamlessly infuse an event with local elements, brilliant colors, and meaningful personal details.
