Now natives of California, Lia and Matt chose Northern Michigan- specifically Northport- as the location for their August 6th wedding. From childhood friends to newlyweds, the couple and their families grew up together in Ann Arbor but vacationed in NoMi every summer. Wanting to keep things simple, rustic and natural, they chose of color palatte of yellows, greens and ivories and let nature do the rest of the work. In a traditional Jewish ceremony, Lia and Matt were married under a Chuppa which symbolized the home that they will build together as a married couple. Local sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres were served on a deck nearly 400 feet above the Lake Michigan shoreline. Dinner and dancing took place under a tent with green paper lanterns hanging overhead. The following day, Lia and Matt took part in a newlywed portrait session in Historic Fishtown, doning their wedding attire but in a much more casual setting. Head on over to the Real Weddings page to see the photo gallery from Lia and Matt's wedding. Be sure to see below, for all the talented vendors that took part in their big day.
