Quintessential Northern Michigan; that's how I would describe Kim and Phil's wedding. This special couple joined their closest friends and family members together and headed out to sea (or lake in this case) to exchange their vows with only the open water surrounding them. Following the I Do's, they toasted bubbly and set sail for the Grand Traverse Yacht Club for a Lake Michigan inspired reception. Shade of light and dark blue, fresh white summer blossoms and antiqued silver accents played up the space and set the tone for the laid-back affair. Setting aside the traditional plated meal, a selection of barbequed meats and traditional summer sides were served with a bountiful assortment of desserts. As the sun set over the hill to the west, guests made their way outside for dancing. Traverse City's native son, Levi Britton and the Britton Stir Band, entertained the crowd with lively dance tunes well into the evening.
