Ashley and Loren had a true Northern Michigan getaway wedding. Taking place at the bride's family vacation home at Northport Point, the couple married in the quaint Atwill Chapel on top of the point, where guests filled into the log-cabin style chapel to watch the couple become Mr. and Mrs. After ringing the chapel bell, (a tradition on the point) then made their way by golf cart to the clubhouse. Sipping out of striped straws for cocktails on the porch, guests sat down inside to navy covered tables bursting with gigantic, fuschia peonies. With nautical touches of green and white stripes, gold and hot pink, the dinner decor was a play off the charming clubhouse decorating. As the evening continued, the guests feasted on the delicious meal full of local produce and ending with slices of sugary wedding cake and helping themselves to the fully stocked candy bar. As the sun began to set out on the course, the tent outside began to fill with hot pink light and music, inviting the guests to make their way outside for an evening of continued celebration. Inspired by the whimsical and detailed Kate Spade brand, the dancing tent was filled with sequin linens, gold cocktail tables and tufted white leather couches, an ode to the groom's work in luxury cars. After a picture perfect day, the party closed with everyone returning to their cottages on the point, falling asleep to the waves of the water outside their windows.
