This summer has taken me all around this beautiful place we call "Northern Michigan" the furthest north I have travelled this summer has been Mackinaw City. At the very tip of the Lower Peninsula is a great little park called The Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse Park with a great view of the Straights of Mackinaw and the one-time Longest Suspension Bridge in the World the Mackinac Bridge. There really is no place like it. It's mind-boggling to think that all the water and many of the ships that pass through the Mackinaw Straights are headed out to sea. A beautiful place that I hope inspires you to take advantage of the glorious weather and make the trip north this weekend!
