Marlie and Bobby's June wedding at the Elberta Life Saving Station was a day to remember. The weather was ideal - sunny and warm with enough of a breeze to keep everyone cool. The happiness and joy on Marlie and Bobby's faces is beautifully mirrored in all of their guests, captured by the always exceptional Megan Newman of The Weber Photographers.
From Sincerely, Ginger Weddings: Marlie grew up vacationing in Northern Michigan and both of them knew they wanted to be married in the area. They chose the perfect venue for their event - the Elberta Life Saving Station along the Betsie River, only a short distance from Lake Michigan. They were able to accommodate their guests in a breezy open tent along the river. Inside the Life Saving Station they had room to display their personal details as well as keep the many young attendees entertained in their own private "kid's room," complete with toys, games, babysitters, and snacks galore!
The overall feel of the wedding was nautical and beachy. The white and green floral from Victoria's Floral Designs was summery and natural, making the bold navy and gold touches stand out beautifully. However, the true essence of the event was in the personal details. The personalized temporary tattoos, the homemade nautical cookies, the blue, white, and gold striped straws, and the family photos in vintage gold frames. And that DIY driftwood sign is one of our absolute favorites.
It was a pleasure to work with such a kind, fun-loving couple! We were honored to be a part of an event with so much life, love, and pure joy.
